Just a little border

Hello Everyone,

I have a new card to show you using Kreaxions Punch #306.  I used it several ways and here it is:

As you can see I used green cardstock for the background.  Then on the top I used some of my scraps that I have had around for awhile.

I used the whole punch to do the border on the bottom that has flowers and a scallop.  Then on top  used the "A" part and got the flowers only.
Next I backed the white with light pink so you do not see the green.  I attached it to the base of the card.

Last I added twine for an accent above the flowers to make a transition statement.

I added some SRM stickers to turn it into a Thank You card and backed it in the same pink as the card has.

In person this card looks dainty and I have the perfect person to send it to.

Mini Crop Challenge at Turtle Soup

Today, September 20th starts the Mini Crop at Turtle Soup  http://www.turtlesoup.scrappingturtle.com/index.php
I am in charge of one of the Challenges.  The crop has several topics and 2 are Back to School and Grandparents, so I combined both and came up with this recipe.

On a report card in High School you usually have 6 grades, I wanted all A's but would usually get 3 B's.
So with this in mind my challenge uses 3 B's on a Grandparents Layout.
B =Banner
B = Bling
B =Border

Here is my layout:

It can be your Grandparents your Kid's Grandparents, your friends with their Grandchildren or even a Great Grandma.

You have until  Sunday, September 29th at midnight EST.  Hope to see you come over and play with us, I will be anxious to see what you can come up with.

Hello There using Kreaxions Punch

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday Everyone,

I want to show you a card tat can cheer up anyone who receives it.  I used pink and green cardstock, Pebbles sentiment, and some polka dot left-over paper.

Here is the card:

I used Kreaxions Punch #906.

I used the "C" to do each of the 4 corners.  I liked how the punch let's you see the what is underneath.

This little border I created from using the left-overs.  I used  "A" and took the bottom chevron and cut the border in half and put them together.  It looks like a diamond lattice.

This is the punch I used:

A little bit Retro for Cards in Envy

The next challenge is up for Cards in Envy.  It is to do a Retro card and make sure it is an A2 flat card so you don't have to pay extra postage to send it to a friend or relative.
The challenge will run September 16 - October 6.  I hope to see you come over and play.
I would love to see what you consider Retro is.  I chose colors and shapes of what I saw as I grew up.

Here is my card:

Not sure who makes the paper, use some twine and a Stampin'Up Stamp on some brown cardstock.

Do the colors bring back memories for you?  It does for me, especially with my reunion next weekend.

Thank You

Hi Everyone and Good Morning to you,

It's Karen here to share my very first post from Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions Punches.
I needed to make a Thank You card so I pulled out some scraps left-over from a scrapbook page, some twine, cardstock and Kreaxions punch #906.

Now to make the card, I made su my scraps were at least 5 1/2" long since I made an A2 size card.  I found 3 pieces that were double sided and wide enough and did both edges.  Then I cut the half.  The strips ended up being 5 1/2" X 1" and worked perfectly.

I took  vertical picture so you could see the 6 strips that I used #906Z Kreaxions punch.  It actually punches out a smaller chevron under the border.  I made sure the larger chevron was connected when punching, by doing this I removed the smaller chevron and just left the border.

I loved the look of this and just added the sentiment and twine on the cardstock and it is ready to be written and mailed.

This is PUNCH 906.

Manly Challenge over at Cards in Envy

Photobucket

Hi everyone,

There is a new challenge over at Cards In Envy and I would love to see all you go over and give it a try.  It is to make a manly card, I know it is out of your comfort zone, but I know you can do it.

I decided to use this bright paper that reminded me of argyle socks.  So I concentrated on the gold accent, used a clock, and used some rope twine to accent it.  Also in the corners I used some acrylic dots.
Hope to see you over at Cards in Envy entering your card.

Anything Goes at Love to Scrap!

Photobucket

Today here is a new challenge over at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog
The Challenge is Anything Goes,so I went way outside of my box and made a plaque for my neighbor.  you see her brother has been playing with a remote control car and she wanted one in pink and purple, but her Dad said NO.  So I made this using the digi from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.
I used some black straws that I put on some balsa wood, colored the digi using Tim Holtz distress markers and a water brush.  I also used pink liquid pears and glitter dust.
So come on over to Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog and you can win a $20 gift certificate o Lacy Sunshine Stamps.  You can start on some of those Christmas Projects you have been putting off.
Hope to see you.
